Had you told us that the latest fashions this year would include a crop top of all things, we’d have laughed at your scrunchie and walked away. That was before we saw painter Salvatore Principe’s silk charmeuse version of the newly reinstated classic in Principe’s debut collection. The Florida-based artist wanted to expose his work to a bigger audience, so he shifted from canvas to clothing with the aid of designer Katherine Kin and the duo devised multiple silk silhouettes, then printed them with his paintings. So you see, where's in good company. Actually, our back-to-back blouse appeared last spring for the first time.
