Frequently Asked Questions

Below please find answers to our most frequently asked questions. If you have questions that has not been answered here, please feel free to contact us at any time and we'll get right back to you.

Q. How do I care for my scarf?
A. Simply wash your silk scarf in cool water with a gentle liquid soap (not Woolite).  Rinse well, roll in a towel, and iron while damp using the iron's silk setting.

Q. Will the colors change with frequent washings?
A. After the scarves are painted (not actually paint, but a special silk dye), they are steamed to set the dye and can be washed many, many times and still retain their same colors.

Q. What size scarves do you offer?
A. My long scarves are 8" x 54" or 12" x 60".  Wraps are 14" x 72" and 22" x 74".  Squares are available in 22," 30," 35,"and 45."

Q. Why is 100% silk so important?
A. Spun by mulberry silkworms, silk is one of the strongest natural fibers in the world.  Owing to its triangular cross-section and rounded corners, it reflects light at many angles, giving it a shiny appearance.  Because of these properties, silk is one of the most loved fibers in the textile industry.  In addition, silk is a good moisture absorber, making it cool to the skin.  It's therefore understandable that silk scarves are among the most enduring of fashion accessories.  Fashion designs will evolve through time but one thing is certain, we will continuously witness silk scarves serving as highlights or playing a major part in many of fashion's trends.

Q.  How do I clean the Tie One On Purse?
A.  Here's a communication from a happy customer regarding the purse:
Hi Rebecca
Don't know if you've had a chance to wash one of your black purses.  Someone splashed salsa all over herself and my purse at a restaurant recently and I couldn't clean the purse by just dabbing it.
I sprayed it with stain remover, put it in a net bag and threw it in with other dark laundry on "cold".  Then I hand pressed the wet purse back into shape and hung it up to dry.  This morning it looks good as new!  Those purses are very well made and I get lots of compliments on mine.  Thanks from Susan
